FAQ

Do you take commissions?

Absolutely. Working with collectors, architects, interior designers, and others on large, site-specific work is my favorite thing to do. Let's collaborate on something for you to love. Contact me.

Can you clean the work?

To clean the work through the years, take a microfiber/feather duster to it occasionally to prevent dust buildup. If dust does collect, a handheld vacuum will take care of it. Most of my work is made with custom-fabricated Sunbrella cordage, which is UV- and water-resistant. It is acrylic based and can be spot cleaned and air dried. For off-white cotton pieces, you can try a Tide pen.

Are you available for speaking engagements?

Yes. I'd love to come to your company, institution, or conference to present my creative journey, share images of the work, and lead knot tying sessions. Contact me.

When is your book being released?

The Year of Knots was released by Abrams on September 17, 2019, in the United States. Details are here.

Do you have an online shop?

I do, but am often too busy with commissions to make work for the shop. Please click here to browse.
For Helix Light pendants and chandeliers, I have collaborated with Brightbound. Please click here.

Do you wholesale?

I am not currently seeking wholesale partners.

What your online shop terms?

All sales are final.

Where can I find a replacement bulb for my Helix Light?

The bulb that comes with your order is a standard incandescent globe bulb available at any hardware store. It's a 40w G40 bulb with a standard E26 base. Here are links to incandescent and LED bulbs. The fixtures can take any type of bulb up to 60 watts.

Who takes your photographs?

Photography throughout site by Windy Chien, Cesar Rubio, Leslie Santarina, Caroline Matthes, Molly DeCoudreaux, Samantha Altieri, Andy Vogt, Vero Kherian, Daniel Green, Peter Prato and Annie Martin.
