Creating Ten Spinal Columns

All Ten Spinal Columns (2018) are comprised of a single type of heaving line knot here used in an unusual setting. Each of the ten columns is similar in dimension to the human body and is clustered in a small group, bringing to mind the comings and going of the student body. Further tying the piece to the college, the ropes were dyed using plants foraged from the College campus, which used to be an arboretum.
